Moyra was sipping a glass of chilled Green Tea in Fae's room, while her parents were entertaining Lulu in the dining hall. It was a hot and humid Sunday. Fae was watching the television while enjoying biscuits with a cup of tea.
Moyra: So, aunty Fae. What did you do in the morning? Anything fascinating?
Fae: Please. Do you think for one second, especially on a Sunday, I'd be able to do something exciting??
Moyra: Come on. All you have to do is just imagine about it.
Moyra nodded with assurance. Fae, continued watching the tele quietly.
Fae: I just saw something this morning. I felt like something or someone was on the ceiling in my bedroom.
That particular message sent shivers down Moyra's spine. She even felt goosebumps all over her.
Moyra: Oh, you're freaking me out now. Are you sure it wasn't your head playing tricks on you?
The girls looked at each other and burst out laughing. After the conversation, Lulu came up looking for her mobile phone. She saw Fae and was very much annoyed by her sight. It's as though, Fae disgusted her. Moyra could never understand the bond between Fae and her mother. The perculiarity. The awkwardness of fae's presence simply made Lulu uncomfortable. Everything about Fae seemed imperfect. Moyra always thought that Fae was normal, even though she has a bit of a disability. She still thought Fae should be treated with some dignity and possibly a little of respect.
Lulu's annoyance and stress made her blew up like a gigantic volcano.
Lulu: Fae, go look for my phone! Get off your bum and look for it now.
Moyra: Lulu, it's on the table beside the lamp.
Fae stood next to Lulu, feeling some what rather dumb. She looked like an innocent child, just waiting to be yelled at over and over again. But, surprisingly, Lulu just walked down the stairs not saying anything.
Two hours of conversation and watching a film, it was time for Moyra to leave. She hugged her aunty Fae, who was looking very upset.
Moyra: Please don't be sad. Remember, be strong.
Fae nodded and hugged Moyra back. They went down the stairs. Moyra's parents were happily chatting away to Lulu about politics and family affairs. Her mum was even making an appointment with Lulu about having a lunch outing at a Chinese restaurant.
Moyra was excited about until she suggested Lulu that Fae should come along too.
Moyra: Oh, can she?!? Could she come along with us? We promise to behave!
Lulu looked puzzled and confused, not knowing what she should do. She was about to say something, but paused for a bit, thinking away.
Lulu: I suppose she can come along.
Fae and Moyra jumped up excited like as if two children were getting a candy each. Moyra and her parents went into the car, waving goodbye to both Fae and Lulu.
