Lunch appointment on a week day (Part 1)

As promised, Lulu took Fae along with her for the lunch outing with Moyra and her parents. Moyra hugged both Lulu and Fae. The girls were so happy to see each other. They had lunch at a very posh Chinese Restaurant, near Lulu's place. The ambient and the scene in the place was fantastic. Moyra thought to herself, "I wouldn't be surprised if I see someone famous in here." Unfortunately, no one close to fame was eating at the restaurant. Possibly because it was a week day and everyone else who have work were too busy to think about eating, especially in a posh restaurant!

It was time to order. The waiter comes over to their table. He was wearing dark blue Chinese style shirt, made of cotton material. When it comes to clothes, the women in Moyra's family notices every detail, even if there is a smudge on the fabric and this includes herself. He held a gadget with him, which all of them think was to take their orders and had a pen with him, which was possibly for the gadget he had with him.

Moyra's mum, the expert in Chinese cuisines, did all the ordering. Everyone was having Chinese Tea. Dishes that were ordered involved a lot of vegetables, one fish dish and one chicken dish. No red meat involved. Even though, Lulu, Fae and Moyra's father in particular loves meat, they were not too fussed about not having any beef or lamb at all. In fact, Moyra's father was excited to have noodles for a change. This time her mum ordered Glass noodles instead of the usual udon noodles.

While waiting for the food to arrive, both Fae and Moyra decided to go for a wander. Lulu seemed suspicious about the idea of us doing so, but Moyra's mum just said that it'd be alright.

There was a lovely fish pond outside the restaurant, so the girls hung out around there for a bit chatting away.

Fae: I'm glad my mother took me out. I was afraid it was going to be one of her tricks.

Moyra: You reckon? I was actually excited and nervous about it. I seriously thought she was not taking you out with her, but I'm so glad she has.

Fae: Yes! (smiling away, then stopped and was sadly looking at the gold fishes in the pond)

Moyra: What's the matter? (she looked curious and confused) You were smiling one minute and now, you're all sad. What are you thinking about?

Fae: I feel that I should not be too happy about this outing.

Moyra: But you're out. You're free!

Fae: Not close enough.

Moyra: What do you mean by that? Has your mum said something horrible to you?

Fae: The usual nonsense.

Moyra: Such as?

Fae: That I'm no good. That I lie. maybe I should just lie to her and maybe, that's what she wants me to do.

Moyra: You shouldn't lie when you know it's the truth. She just want to make herself feel better. But maybe, she's just indenial?

Fae: Are you taking her side?

Moyra: No. I'm not taking anyone's side. I'm just saying, maybe she just doesn't want to believe that you are in deed telling the truth.

The conversation was getting rather too intensed and they felt hungry too, so they walked back to their table, with Lulu looking disrupt about the whole situation and Moyra's parents nodding their heads, disagreeing with what Lulu had to say.

All the dishes finally arrived and filled their empty stomaches. They were content and satisfied with the meal.

Lulu got up to pay for the bill, but Moyra's mum insisted that she should pay, so she did. They left the posh restaurant, got into the car and drove back to Lulu and Fae's house. A very huge house indeed. A family of 10 could actually live in it, with 5 extra little children running around and laughing like hyeenas would.

Moyra went to Fae's room, while Lulu and Moyra's parents sat downstairs in the lounge area to enjoy chit chatting and dessert. Lulu is famous for her desserts. She had everything and made everything. Her chocolate brownies are both Fae's and Moyra's favourite.

In Fae's room.....

Moyra:Lunch was interesting wasn't it?

Fae: Oh yes, the food was so good!

Moyra: I couldn't stop laughing with the way your mum mentioned that smoking made her feel good and that it's good for the brain. Hah! Funny and so untrue.

Fae: Yes, my mum has a way of saying silly things. She's great when she's Dr Jeckyl but she's not the best when she becomes Miss Hyde.

Moyra: Nice one!!

To be continued.....
